Crew
Captain of Space & Time – Geoffrey McDonald Bowll
Geoffrey uses his 30 years in market research and strategy encouraging us to boldly go where other agencies fear to tread. The author of Marketing Magazine’s famous Guerrilla Guide (now Alienate) Cap’n Bowll holds a degree in Marketing from Monash, is Vice President of the Australia Marketing Institute, Victoria, and a member of Australian Sales and Marketing Institute, Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Market and Social Research Society. He has worked with hundreds of clients including Australia Post, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Co-Operative Federation of Australia, Department of Premier, NAB, Oral B, Stockland and Telstra.
First Officer of Creative Direction – Prue Kirkcaldie
Hailing from that supernova of creativity, New Zealand, Prue’s taste and passion for excellence, guides our creative design and production teams on their paths to greater glory. She’s been in the trenches and led the troops on many campaigns in New Zealand, London, New York and Australia, for some of the world’s biggest brands like Telstra, Rowntree Hoadley, Just Jeans, Australia Post, Ford, Coles Myer and the Australian Dairy Industry.
Squadron Leader & Production Commander – Matt Peek
When it comes to getting the job done and the battle won, there’s no-one better to be leading the grunts than Matt, who takes no prisoners, alien or human, in his pursuit of on-time, on-budget excellence. But he’s not just all muscle and tatt’s – with a degree in Marketing & Media from Swinburne University, and extensive experience as a producer and director in film and television, he’s proved himself as an intelligent and winning leader in many Starship production campaigns.
Battle Strategist & Creative Wingman – Lindsay Hocking
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Starship’s officers, and drawing on 30 years’ experience in creative and production battles for agencies in Australia, Asia, Europe and the Sub-Continent, this much-decorated advertising warhorse is a master of strategic planning, writing and film/TV production. His uncanny ability to find the communications high ground and exploit it, has seen him develop and create winning campaigns for the likes of Cadbury Schweppes, Coca-Cola, Ford, Gillette, Heinz, Nestle, Pioneer Electronics and Shell, and Starship’s clients. Glad he’s on our side.
Adjutant General of Account Service – Lisa Goldsworthy
A perfect combination of personality and skill defines this vital member of our crew, as she administers a range of accounts for us with an exquisite attention to detail and quality control. If it wasn’t for the fact that she’s so warm and charming, one could almost think her to be part Vulcan, with a background that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Communication from Deakin University, and much experience in professional writing.
Adjutant of Account Service – Krystal Hall
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the Adjutant General, Krystal also bends her high-quality administrative skills to the task of maintaining several of the Starship’s accounts. With a personality that sparkles like (it just has to be said) a crystal, and a sniper-like way of targeting and eliminating problems, this valued member of the crew has a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from RMIT and more than seven years’ experience in battling at the front line of retail sales and marketing.
Air Marshall of Art Direction – Gavel Markowski
Having been on board with us for seven years, Gav has used sheer skill and talent to rise up through our art and design studio to hold the exalted and much revered senior position he commands today. He has a Bachelor of Creative Advertising from RMIT, and has honed his abilities in art direction, photo-retouching, web development and management on an array of clients that includes Stockland, ANZ, iSelect, Barry Plant, Metricon, New Zealand Avocado, Fibonacci Stone and Primus.
Brigadier of Better Design – Thomas Pavitte
Although his surname suggests he may have once been a resistance fighter in some far-flung planetary war, Thomas actually hails from the Nova of the Long White Cloud (like our esteemed First Officer of Creative Direction), which means he also brings on board a stellar level of creative design experience. After graduating from the renowned Wanganui School of Design he was sole print designer at TV New Zealand, and since teleporting across the Tasman in 2010 he crewed on many other advertising battle cruisers, before coming to his senses and coming to join the Starship.
Officer of Office Reception & Coordination – Stephanie Pratt
Being right on the front line can be unnerving for mere mortals, but for Stephanie this is the place to be because it’s where the action first happens, and whatever enters through the Starship’s main portal, she tackles and organises it with grit, determination and a winning smile. This bubbly and vivacious crew-member holds an advanced Diploma in Public relations from RMIT, a Bachelor of Arts (Media & Communications) from Swinburne University, and lots of practical experience in the events and media fields.
