We love
The Stepdad is Disney’s Christmas 2021 ad, a follow on from their 2020 ad (the MC of that one now has kids). Shows off their franchises.
An Unlikely Friendship is Amazon Prime’s 2021 Christmas ad, on the friendship between a hyena and a zookeeper. Cute! Though, we’re not so sure about the ethics of stealing wild animals and keeping them as domestic pets, but it’s a heartwarming addition to the holiday season’s ads.
Station Eleven finally has a tv adaptation — based on the gorgeously written, atmospheric post-apocalyptic book by Emily St John Mandel. Odd watching a show about the pre and post flu-pocalypse in this era, though.
Arcane is the animated tv series based on the award-winning, wildly popular game League of Legends, but is a fantastic watch in its own right. Especially for lovers of Steampunk.
Fable 2 – The Hitman Who Doesn’t Kill is one of the films in this year’s Japanese International Film Festival (JIFF) in Melbourne. Great watch!
When Harry Met Santa is Posten Norway’s fantastic Christmas 2021 ad, celebrating 50 years of marriage equality in Norway.
Becoming Costeau is National Geographic’s upcoming documentary on adventurer, inventor, and conservationist Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
The Rescue is National Geographic’s documentary about the Thai Cave Rescue, where cave divers rescued a stranded team of kids.
Yoko Kanno, the iconic Japanese musician behind the music of the cult classic anime Cowboy Bebop, is back for its live action.
Spiderman – No Way Home now has a full cinematic trailer. Looks like a multiverse merge event after a Doctor Strange spell goes wrong.
